Clippers Fall to Cougars 83-40

Caldwell, NJ - The Concordia College women's basketball team was defeated by the Caldwell College Cougars 83-40 last night at the George R. Newman Center in Caldwell, NJ. The non-conference loss keeps the Clippers winless at 0-6 on the season.

Freshman Bonnie DeFina (Maspeth, NY) led Concordia with 8 points on 60% (3-5) shooting from the floor. Junior center Shari Cordero (Bronx, NY) finished with 7 points and 6 rebounds. Senior Danielle Bacon (Levittown, NY), sophomore Gianna Zonghetti (Garrison, NY) and freshman Amanda Eggink (Red Hook, NY) each added 5 points for the Clippers. Eggink also had a season high 11 rebounds.

For the Cougars, MacKenzie Lynch finished with a game high 20 points and grabbed 8 rebounds. Lynch shot 6-11 (54.5%) from the floor and was 8-9 (88.8%) from the free throw line. Kirsty Leedham finished with 14 points and Stephanie Cadet chipped in 11 points. Caldwell improves to 4-1 with the win.

The Clippers will travel to Garden City, NY on Wednesday, December 5th, as they take on the Panthers of Adelphi University in ECC action. Tip-off is set for 5:30 PM.
