Clippers Fall to Greyhounds 75-33

Worcester, MA - The Concordia College women's basketball team was defeated by the Greyhounds of Assumption College 75-33 yesterday in the second day of the Marriott Courtyard Classic at Assumption College in Worcester, MA. The Clippers fall to 0-2 on the season, while Assumption improves to 4-1 overall.

The Clippers were led by sophomore Dana Rommel (Staten Island, NY) and junior Shari Cordero (Bronx, NY), who each scored 6 points.  Senior Danielle Bacon (Levittown, NY), sophomore Brittany Binnie (Middletown, NY) and freshman Bonnie DeFina (Maspeth, NY) each chipped in 4 points for the Clippers. Bacon and Rommel lead Concordia on the boards, with each player pulling down 4 rebounds. Cordero, freshman Amanda Eggink (Red Hook, NY) and junior Jennifer Osher (White Plains, NY) each finished with 3 rebounds.

For the Greyhounds, Beth Plasski had a game high 13 points and 3 rebounds. Kayla Parker added 11 points and Molly Griffiths finished with 10 points and 5 rebounds. Charde Floyd led all players with 9 rebounds.

The Clippers will be back in action on Monday, November 26th, as they host the Golden Falcons of Felician College at the Meyer Athletic Center in Bronxville, NY. The action will begin at 7:00 PM
