Pioneers Race Past Clippers 82-42

Brookville, NY - The Concordia College women's basketball team was defeated by the C.W. Post Pioneers 82-42 yesterday at Pratt Recreation Center in Brookville, NY. Freshman Amanda Eggink (Red Hook, NY) scored 8 points and grabbed 8 rebounds for the Clippers. Junior Shari Cordero (Bronx, NY) also finished with 8 points and pulled down 5 rebounds. Sophomore Danielle McLaughlin (Staten Island, NY) added 8 points and freshman Bonnie DeFina (Maspeth, NY) chipped in 5 points and 2 assists.

For the Pioneers, Emily Hall finished with a game high 23 points, 10 assists and 6 steals. Jasmine Moore scored 19 points and Whitney Murrer had 14 points and 7 rebounds. Katrina Ware finished with 10 points, 4 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals and Alyssa Lombardi was a force on the boards, grabbing a game high 16 rebounds.

The loss drops the Clippers to 0-10 overall and 0-6 in the East Coast Conference. C. W. Post improves to 9-4 overall and a perfect 6-0 in the East Coast Conference.

The Clippers will travel to Old Westbury, NY on Wednesday, January 9th to face the NYIT Bears in ECC action. The game will begin at 5:00 PM.
