Women's Basketball Clawed by Lions 86-59

Bronxville, NY - The Concordia College women's basketball team lost an ECC match-up to the Lions of Molloy College 86-59 last night at the Meyer Athletic Center in Bronxville, NY. Concordia now falls to 0-12 overall and 0-8 in the East Coast Conference.

Freshman Bonnie DeFina (Maspeth, NY) led the Clippers in scoring with 12 points on a perfect 3-3 shooting performance, including 2-2 from 3-point range. Sophomore Dana Rommel (Staten Island, NY) had 11 points, 4 rebounds and 2 steals and freshman Amanda Eggink (Red Hook, NY) finished with 10 points, 7 rebounds and 2 blocked shots. Sophomore Brittany Binnie (Middletown, NY) chipped in 9 points, 6 assists, 3 rebounds and 3 steals.

For Molloy College, Randi Bender had a game high 23 points. Kymira Woodberry put in a solid performance with 18 points, 10 rebounds, 4 steals and 3 assists. E.J. Dreyer and Tatiana Lopez each chipped in 10 points and 3 rebounds for the Lions. Dreyer also led Molloy with 7 steals and 4 assists. Molloy improves to 5-9 overall and evens their East Coast Conference record to 4-4.

The Clippers will look to get into the win column on Wednesday, January 16th, as they host the Purple Knights of the University of Bridgeport. Tip-off is set for 5:00 PM.
