Spartans Topple Clippers 62-36
Sparkill, NY - Junior Danielle Bacon (Levittown, NY) scored a team high 12 points, however, it wasn't enough as the Clippers fall to St. Thomas Aquinas College 62-36 last night in Sparkill, NY. Bacon also grabbed a team high 8 rebounds and dished out 2 assists. Freshman Dana Rommel (Staten Island, NY) added 7 points and 2 rebounds and Jocelyn Martin (Nesconset, NY) chipped in 6 points in 12 minutes of action.
Raven Brinkley notched adouble-double for the Spartans, scoring 12 points and grabbing 10 rebounds. Claire Wilson led the Spartans with 13 points, 4 rebounds and 4 assists. Erika Ostrove also played a well balanced game with 10 points, 6 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals.
Concordia falls to 0-6 overall and 0-1 in East Coast Conference action. The Spartans improve to 1-2 overall and 1-0 in the conference.
The Clippers will return to the friendly confines of the Meyer
Athletic Center on Saturday, December 2nd, as they face the
Panthers of Adelphi University in an East Coast Conference
match-up. The action begins at 3:00 PM.
