Clippers Fall to Rams in Season Opener

The visiting Rams of Philadelphia University opened the season with senior Alisha Ferguson scoring a game high 32 points and grabbing 24 rebounds in the Rams 78-43 victory over the Clippers tonight at the Meyer Athletic Center in Bronxville, NY.

For the Clippers, freshman Danielle McLaughlin (Staten Island, NY) poured in a team high 16 points . McLaughlin shot 6-16, including 4-9 from 3-point range. Junior Danielle Bacon (Levittown, NY) scored 10 points and Dana Rommel (Staten Island, NY) added 9 points and 5 rebounds.

Meg Abele scored 20 points and grabbed 5 rebounds for the Rams and Ashley Webster chipped in 14 points and 18 rebounds.

The Clippers fall to 0-1 on the season and the visiting Rams move to 1-0.

The Clippers will return to action on Friday, November 17th, as they will play in the Dominican College Tip-Off Classic. Concordia will play Nyack College at 5:30 PM. The following day, the Clippers will square off against the host Chargers of Dominican College at 7:30 PM.
