Warriors Top Clippers in Dominicam College Tip-Off Classic

                                                 

The Concordia College women's basketbal team lost to the Warriors of Nyack College 72-48 tonight in Orangeburg, NY. The game was the opening contest in the Dominican College Tip-Off Classic. Freshman Dana Rommel (Staten Island, NY) led the Clippers with a game high 19 points and 7 rebounds. Rommel shot 42% (8 for 19) from the floor, including 3 for 6 (50%) from behind the 3-point arc. Freshman guard Danielle McLaughlin (Staten Island, NY) added 11 points and junior Danielle Bacon (Levittown, NY) chipped in 9 points and 7 rebounds.

For the Warriors, Tamyra Lathon scored a team high 14 points, grabbed 4 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals. Kelsey McIntosh and Christy Porter each added 13 points.

With the loss, the Clippers fall to 0-2 on the season. Nyack College improves to 1-0.

The Clippers will conclude the Dominican College Tip-Off Classic on Saturday, November 18th, as they face the host team, the Chargers of Dominican College. Game time is set for 7:30 PM.
