Bronxville, NY - Kymira Woodberry scored a game high 24 points and grabbed 17 rebounds to lead the Molloy College Lions past the Clippers 72-53 last night at the Meyer Athletic Center in Bronxville, NY. Woodberry shot 10 for 19 (53%) from the floor and was a perfect 4 for 4 from the free throw line.

The Clippers were led by Dana Rommel (Staten Island, NY), who scored a team high 18 points on 50% (8 for 16) shooting and grabbed 7 rebounds. Junior Danielle Bacon (Levittown, NY) finished with 15 points and 6 rebounds. Bacon also was efficient on the floor, shooting 7 for 12 (58%) for the game. Freshman Danielle McLaughlin (Staten Island, NY)  added 9 points and 3 rebounds. Brittany Binnie (Middletown, NY) dished out a game high 11 assists. The loss drops the Clippers record to 0-24 overall and 0-17 in the East Coast Conference.

Randi Bender scored 19 points for Molloy and was 50% (4 for 8) from 3-point range. Tatiana Lopez added 10 points and 5 rebounds and Clarissa Jones chipped in 7 points, 4 rebounds and a team high 5 assists. Molloy improves to 14-10 overall and 10-7 in the East Coast Conference.

Concordia will resume action on Thursday, February 15th against the University of Bridgeport Purple Knights at the Meyer Athletic Center. Bridgeport defeated the Clippers 82-49 in Bridgeport, CT back on January 17th. Binnie led the Clippers with 10 points and 3 assists. Stephanie Sameisky (Monroe, NY) chipped in 8 points, 3 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 steals for the Clippers. Stephanie Darden led three Purple Knights in double figures with 19 points. Angelina Jimenez scored 17 points and Sidney Parsons chipped in 12 points. The action begins at 5:00 PM.
