Molloy Defeats Clippers in Consolation Game
East Stroudsburg, PA - Freshman Danielle McLaughlin (Staten Island, NY) led the Clippers in scoring for the fifth time this season with 17 points, as the Clippers fell to the Lions of Molloy College 89-58 today in the consolation game of the Pocono Rotary Classic in East Stroudsburg, PA. Junior Danielle Bacon (Levittown, NY), who transferred to Concordia College from Molloy College, scored 14 points against her old team. Freshman Dana Rommel (Staten Island, NY) added 11 points and grabbed a team high 6 rebounds. Gianna Zonghetti (Garrison, NY) and Vanuza Pereira-Bravo (Brussels, Belgium) each chipped in 4 points for the Clippers.
Kelly Quackenbush led the Lions offense with 17 points. Randi Bender finished with 15 points and E.J. Dreyer added 13 points.
Concordia falls to 0-9 on the season and the Lions improve to 2-4.
The Clippers will look to get on track this Wednesday, December
13th, as they travel to Brookville, NY to face East Coast
Conference foe LIU - C.W. Post. The game will begin at 5:00
