Clippers Drop First Game of Pocono Rotary Classic
East Stroudsburg, PA - Caitlin Brown and Victoria Charley each finished with a double-double, as the Battlers topped the Clippers 62-43 in the first game of the Pocono Rotary Classic Tournament in East Stroudsburg, PA. Brown finished with 19 points and 10 rebounds and Charley scored 16 points and grabbed 10 rebounds. The two Battlers shot a combined 14 for 24 (58%) from the floor.
For Concordia, Danielle McLaughlin (Staten Island, NY) recorded a team high 15 points and grabbed 5 rebounds. Dana Rommel (Staten Island, NY) and Brittany Binnie (Middletown, NY) each added 9 points and Gina Amato (West Haven, CT) chipped in 4 points and 4 rebounds in 13 minutes of action.
The Clippers fall to 0-8 on the season and Alderson-Broaddus picks up their first win to improve to 1-7 on the season.
Concordia will play in the consolation game of the Pocono Rotary
Classic Tournament on Saturday, December 9th. The Clippers will
play the loser of the Molloy College-East Stroudsburg match-up. The
action will begin at 1:00 PM.
