Clippers Fall to Spartans 87-64

Bronxville, NY - Junior Danielle Bacon (Levittown, NY) scored a team high 12 points, but it wasn't enough as the Clippers fell to the Spartans of St. Thomas Aquinas College 87-64 today at the Meyer Athletic Center in Bronxville, NY. Senior Emily Rodriguez (Bronx, NY) scored a season high 11 points on 3 for 4 (75%) shooting. Freshman Dana Rommel (Staten Island, NY) finished the game with 11 points, 5 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 steals and Danielle McLaughlin (Staten Island, NY) chipped in 10 points. Freshman Gianna Zonghetti (Garrison, NY) pulled down a season high and game high 9 rebounds.

For St. Thomas Aquinas, Erin Kilduff scored a game high 17 points, grabbed 3 rebounds and dished out 5 assists. Claire Wilson and Kayla Waite scored 16 points and 13 points, respectively. Erika Ostrove added 15 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists and 2 steals for the Spartans.

The Clippers drop to 0-18 overall with the loss and 0-11 in the East Coast Conference. St. Thomas Aquinas improves to 9-7 overall and 8-2 in the East Coast Conference.

Concordia will travel to Garden City, NY on Wednesday, January 31st, to face the Panthers of Adelphi University. The Panthers defeated the Clippers 64-31 in their previous meeting this season on December 2nd at the Meyer Athletic Center. The game will begin at 7:30 PM.
