Patrocinio & Cannata Team Up For Player and Rookie of the Week Honors

Kristina Patrocinio and Rachel Cannata earned the CACC first Player and Rookie of the Week respectively for the week ending March 6th, 2011. 

Patrocinio, a sophomore from Edison, NJ, earned her first CACC Player of the Week for her career.  Patrocinio helped lead the Clippers to a 4-4 Spring Break Week while hitting .417.  She also tacked on 17 runs batted in, three home runs, three triples, and four runs scored.  She homered and drove in four runs in the season-opening win over St. Anselm and then knocked in five runs with a triple and a home run in the win over Queens.

Patrocinio's teammate, Rachel Cannata, a freshman from Waldwick, NJ had an outstanding first collegiate week both at the plate and in the pitching circle.  Cannata went 1-1 as a pitcher with a 0.82 ERA in the two starts.  She hit .419 at the plate with seven runs, three RBI's and two doubles.  In her first collegiate game she hit 4 for 5 with three runs scored against St. Anselm.
