D'Amico, Patrocinio, Rosella Named to First Team All-CACC

Three Clippers Softball players were honored today with All-CACC First Team honors.  The players are nominated and then voted on by the softball coaches from the participating CACC softball teams.

Angela D'Amico, a junior from Old Bridge, NJ, is being honored for the first time as an All-CACC member.  D'Amico, the Clippers third baseman, currently leads the team with a .423 batting average while boasting 11 doubles and 26 RBI's.  She has the second highest slugging percentage, .604, and the highest on base percentage, .468, on the Clippers squad.

Angela is currently ranked 28th in Batting Average, 38th in sacrifice flies, 79th in On base percentage, 129th in Slugging percentage, & 290th in Toughest to strikeout in the NCAA Division II.

Kristina Patrocinio, the sophomore from Edison, NJ, is the Clippers centerfielder and earns her first All-CACC honor.  Patrocinio has come out blazing for the Clippers this season as she is hitting .336.  Patrocinio has racked up 38 hits including 6 triples and 6 home runs so far this season.  She boasts the highest slugging percentage on the team, .619. 

Kristina is currently ranked 35th in Triples & 124th in slugging percentage in the NCAA Division II.

Alexa Rosella, a senior from Howard Beach, NY, earns her second consecutive All-CACC First Team honor.  Rosella, a pitcher and outfielder for the Clippers has the second highest batting average with .381.  Rosella boasts 43 hits including 10 doubles and 3 home runs and she has a .566 slugging percentage.  From a pitching stand point, Rosella has a ERA of 2.78 with an 8-3 record, so far, in 2011.  She also leads the team in batters struck out with 92. 

Alexa is currently ranked 146th in on base percentage, 158th in shutouts, 186th in batting average, 293rd in victories, 240th in strikeouts & 241st in slugging percentage in the NCAA Division II.
