Clippers continue to win with two wins over Bloomfield

The Clippers headed to Bloomfield College to face off in a double header CACC day.  The Clippers started game one off with a one out single by Maria DeMartino.  Alexa Rosella was walked aboard with two outs against the Clippers.  A double by Victoria Pisciotta knocked in both DeMartino and Rosella.  Angela D'Amico then knocked a single to centerfield scored Pisciotta and the Clippers took a 3-0 lead. 

The Clippers added another three runs in the second inning after Nicole Spadero reached first after being hit by a pitch.  A single by Kristina Patrocinio moved Spadero up to second.  Dena Frederick hit a single to third base to score Spadero and kept the inning going.  Alexa Rosella knocked a single to centerfield and Patrocinio and Frederick scored to extend the Clippers lead to 6-0. 

Angela D'Amico knocked a single to start the third inning off and the fifth inning.  A single from Nicole Spadero scored D'Amico in the third as a single from Theresa Magnani scored D'Amico in the fifth to give the Clippers the 8-0 win.

Alexa Rosella pitched game one holding the Deacons off through all five innings with striking out four batters. 

The Clippers called upon Jillian Maselli for the second game hurler.  As Maselli was dominating on the mound, the Clippers would continue their hitting starting in the third inning. 

A two out single from Dena Frederick started the third inning for the Clippers.  A single from Maria DeMartino moved Frederick up to second.  Jaime Lorenzo then hit a single for Frederick to score and the Clippers took the lead in the game.

Victoria Pisciotta singled to open up the fourth inning for the Clippers.  Angela D'Amico laid down a sacrifice bunt and then reached first on an error by the catcher and the Clippers had runners on first and second.  A single from Nicole Spadero scored Pisciotta.  Kristina Patrocinio ripped a single to score D'Amico and the Clippers were up 3-0. 

Jaime Lorenzo started off the fifth inning for the Clippers after reaching on an error by the shortstop.  Alexa Rosella added another double to her resume to put two runners in scoring position.  Victoria Pisciotta ripped a double to bring Lorenzo and Rosella home.  Angela D'Amico took a pitch and sent the ball over the fence for a two run home run and extended the Clippers lead to seven, but the Clippers were not done.  Jenna Stueber was walked aboard and Kristina Patrocinio followed that up as she reached on an error on the shortstop.  With two runners on Dena Frederick hit a shot for a double to score Stueber.  Patrocinio then scored on a passed ball.  As Jaime Lorenzo hit a single, Frederick made her turn to score and was safe as the catcher recorded an error. 

Jillian Maselli shut the Deacons down even with the bases loaded in the third inning. 

The Clippers will take on the Dominican College Chargers on Wednesday in Orangeburg, NY.
