First Annual Alumni Softball Game

Bronxville, NY - The Concordia Softball Team hosted its First annual Alumni Game Saturday, October 18, 2008.  Seventeen Alumni returned to the clipper field to take on the current Clippers. 

Players representing classes 1992 to 2008 were present. Coach Kathy Laoutaris, class of 93', was overwhelmed. "It was awesome to have some of my former teammate's pair up with my former players and come back home to take on our current team".  The sentiments of the group regarding the alumni game was stated best by Andrea "AJ" Thau, class of 92', "3 words - IT WAS AWESOME!!!!" 

Although the current Clippers displayed their high level of ability, many moments of brilliance were exhibited by the alumni, leaving the many fans, families, & friends in awe. "It is evidently clear that the great tradition of Women's Softball at Concordia started and continues at a level that makes us proud to be Clippers", said Director of Athletics, Ivan Marquez. 

After the game we had a small BBQ where the current players got to mingle with the alum. 

We are planning on having a game every year.  "I would love for all our former players to come back and play; unfortunately, I do not have contact info for many of them".  If any former player is interested please contact coach Laoutaris at Kathy.Laoutaris@concordia-ny.edu.
