Softball to Auction Pink Jerseys for Cancer Awareness and Research
Bronxville, NY - During the 2009 Concordia College softball season, the Clippers took the field wearing special pink jerseys at all home contests played at Clipper Softball Field. You can now own a piece of sports history as those same "game-worn" jerseys will now be auctioned off to the public. One hundred percent of the proceeds will be donated to Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York, NY.
The jerseys sport the Concordia College logo and a 4" number on the front of the jersey. The back of the jersey contains an 8" number and a gold Clipper ship centered at the top.
The Clippers went 5-5 at Clipper Softball Field this past season. Concordia swept the Golden Falcons of Felician College in their home opener on March 22nd. In the season finale, the Clippers took both games of a doubleheader against the University of Bridgeport Purple Knights, giving Head Coach Kathy Laoutaris her 100th career coaching victory.
Bidding on these authentic "game-worn" Concordia College pink jerseys begins at $100 each. For more information on owning a piece of history, please contact Head Coach Kathy Laoutaris at (914) 337-9300 ext. 2442.
