Clippers End Florida Trip with 6-2 Win

Clermont, FL - The Concordia College softball team concluded their 2009 Spring Break Trip to the Sunshine State with a 6-2 victory over the Marauders of Millersville University yesterday afternoon at the National Training Center in Clermont, FL.

Senior Julie Walsh (Bellerose, FL) went 3-4 with a triple and an RBI for the Clippers. Sophomore Dena Frederick (White Plains, NY) was 2-4 in the game and freshman Ashley Corriss (Sayville, NY) also batted 2-4.

Sophomore Jillian Maselli (Bellmore, NY) picked up the win for Concordia in relief.

The Clippers finished their 2009 Spring Break Trip to Florida with a 4-4 record that included a sweep of No. 6 ranked Winona State University and a sweep of Millersville University.

Concordia will return to action on Wednesday, March 11th, as they open up ECC play against the Purple Knights of Bridgeport University at Clipper Softball Field. The first game of the doubleheader will begin at 2:30 PM.
