Brookville, NY - The C.W. Post Pioneers swept a doubleheader softball game yesterday against the Clippers in Brookville, NY. Game scores were 12-0 and 22-1.

Christy Softy hit two home runs for CW Post, one in each game, and finished the day with 3 hits and 7 RBI. Sophomores Julie Walsh (Bellerose, NY), Sondra Noer (Sunnyside, NY) and Caitlin Orlando (Mineola, NY) each collected a hit for the Clippers.

 

 

Sophomore Kelly Moran (Carmel, NY) pitched 5.1 innings in game 1, allowing 10 hits and 12 runs in the loss. Moran's record falls to 1-2 on the season. Senior Julianna LaBella (Mamaroneck, NY) picked up the loss in game 2, lasting 2.2 innings and allowing 9 hits and 9 runs. LaBella drops to 2-2 for the season.

Concordia drops to 6-4 overall on the year and 0-2 in the East Coast Conference. C.W. Post improves to 15-9 overall and 3-1 in the East Coast Conference.

The Clippers will look to regroup on Saturday, March 31st, as they travel to Sparkill, NY to face St. Thomas Aquinas College. It will be a doubleheader against the Spartans and the action will begin at 1:00 PM.
