Cross Country Competes in Stevens Tech Invitational
Jersey City, NJ - The Concordia College men's and women's cross country teams competed in the Stevens Tech Invitational Meet on Friday, September 21st in Jersey City, NJ. Freshman Carlos Malave (Bellport, NY) was the first Clipper runner to cross the finish line for the 8km race with a time of 31:48. Malave finished 25th out of 62 runners. Senior Bol Riiny (Winchester, MA) finished with a time of 34:14, good for 40th place. The Clippers finished the race in 8th place out of 10 teams with a team score of 83.
On the women's side, sophomore Emily Ringelberg (Pinetop, AZ) finished the 6km race with a time of 29:27, good for 12th place. Senior Nicole Pancaldo (Valhalla, NY) came in 20th place with a time of 31:26. Concordia finished 6th out of 6 teams.
The Clippers will hit the trails again on Sunday, September 30th, as they travel to Van Cortlandt Park to compete in the Lehman Lightning Invitational Meet. The race is scheduled to begin at 10:15 AM.
