Clippers Race in ECC Championships
Bronx, NY - The Concordia College cross country teams competed in the East Coast Conference Championships on Sunday, October 21st at Van Cortlandt Park in Bronx, NY.
Sophomore Emily Ringelberg (Pinetop, AZ) was the top female runner (33rd) for the Clippers, running at a total time of 23:45. Ringelberg finished at an average time of 7:39 in the 5 km race. Senior Nicole Pancaldo (Valhalla, NY) crossed the finish line next for Concordia at 25:37, good for 45th place. The women concluded the race 9th out of 9 teams, with a total of 212 points. Their average finish time was 31:41.40
On the men's side, senior Bol Riiny (Winchester, MA) finished the 8 km race with a time of 32:43, placing him at 43rd place. Freshman Carlos Malave (Bellport, NY) was the next Clipper to finish the race at a time of 33:49. Senior Michael LaVoie (New Rochelle, NY) finished at 34:59, good for 55th place. The men finished the race with a total of 249 points, placing them in 8th place out of 9 teams entered. Their average finish time was 37:09.60.
This was the season ending event for both teams.
