Cross Country Competes in ECC Championships
The Concordia College men's & women's cross country teams competed today in the East Coast Conference Championships at Van Cortlandt Park in the Bronx, NY.
The Clipper men finished the event in 8th place, with a team score of 247. Concordia finished with an total time of 3:02:35.69 and an average time of 36:31.14. Junior Bol Riiny (Winchester, MA) was the top Clipper runner with a time of 34:03.47. Teammates Michael LaVoie (New Rochelle, NY) and Kimo Kang (Tai Jeon, Korea) also finished in the 34th minute in the 8K race. Freshman Joseph Cendrowski (Sloan, NY) ended with a time of 35:38.87.
On the women's side, the Clippers finished with an incomplete team score, as there were only three runners entered in the race. Freshman Emily Ringelberg (Pinetop, AZ) was the top Clipper finisher in the 5K race with a time of 26:06.59. Sophomore Jennifer Fries (Palmyra, NY) and senior Amy Sjovall (Colchester, CT) concluded the race in the 33rd and 35th minute, respectively.
The Clippers will return to the course next Sunday, October
29th, as the compete in the Nick Russo Holiday Classic.
