Coach Tarangioli joined the Concordia coaching staff in 1978 after a successful Tennis & Squash career at Fordham University. He played varsity for both sports for all 4 years. He was voted MVP for Tennis in 73 and 77 and the MVP for Squash in 77. He served as Captain of both teams in his senior year. He received a BS in History.
Neil was the assistant coach for 2 years and then became the head coach of the Men's Team in 1980. While at the helm of the Clipper's program Coach T has led the Team to 12 appearances in the NCAA National Championship, three to the "Sweet 16". He has also led the Clippers to 15 of 18 NYCAC Conference Championships and has been selected NYCAC Coach of the Year 12 times. He has also been honored by the ITA as the Division II Northeast Region Coach of the Year in 2005 and 2007.
During his tenure at Concordia his teams have won over 300 matches and won numerous Invitational Tournaments. The Clippers have been ranked number 1 in the Northeast Region for the past 3 years and have been top 15 for the last 15 years !
Coach T has been a 20 year member of the USPTA and was selected Member of the Year in 1996. He has served on the ITA Ranking Committee for 4 terms, Chairman once. He served 2 terms on the ITA Awards Committee and numerous Tournament committees. He just finished a term on the NCAA National Championship Selection Committee. As coach Tarangioli says of this volunteerism, he learned from his Jesuit days at Fordham Prep & Fordham University the importance of giving back !
Coach T recently celebrated his 23 Wedding Anniversary and his oldest son just enrolled as a freshman at Boston College. His 2 daughters play soccer and basketball at the Bronxville school. His wife is an RN/Head Nurse at the Montefiore Medical Center.

Daniel Rockhill begins his 8th season as Assistant Coach to Neil Tarangioli and the Clippers. Daniel received his undergraduate degree from Concordia College in 1990 and graduated from New York Medical College in 1998.
Daniel is a practicing clinician in the field of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and is recognized by the National Strength and Conditioning Association as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist. He is also active as a volunteer with the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
While playing for the Clippers, Daniel was ranked 10th nationally in doubles (1990), served as team captain (1989-1990), and is the only player in NCAA II history to win both singles and doubles conference championships in the New York Collegiate Athletic Conference and the Metropolitan Collegiate Tennis Conference in the same season (1990).
Coach Rockhill continues his family coaching tradition as his father, Dr. Ronald H. Rockhill, guided the Clippers from 1965-1968.
Each year Concordia Athletics honors its most outstanding female
athlete with the Esther Petzke Rockhill Award, which is named for
Daniel's mother, who was a decorated athlete and coach for
Concordia in the 1960's.
