No. 10 Concordia Men's Tennis Earns 9-0 Victory over Chestnut Hill

Bronxville, N.Y. – The No. 10 Concordia men's tennis team returned home for a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) match at the Meyers Tennis Center on Wednesday afternoon. The Clippers would host rival Chestnut Hill College as Concordia had no problems defeating their foe, 9-0.

Senior Andrey Boldarev (Tashkent, Uzbekistan) and junior Daniele Piludu (Cagliari, Italy) secured an 8-0 shut out victory in their #1 doubles match over Yoann Pham and Steven Say to begin the afternoon. Sophomore's Benas Majauskas (Vilnius, Lithuania) and Tomasz Olfans (Opole, Poland) grabbed an 8-1 win over Kevin Taylor and Anthony Moore in their #2 match while seniors David Tisserand (Lyon, France) and Andreas Lindell (Helsingborg, Sweden) also captured an 8-1 victory over Michael Humes and Manuel Ceniceros in the #3 match.

Boldarev, in his #1 singles match, would grab a 6-0, 6-0 win over Humes while Piludu also was victorious 6-0, 6-0 in his #2 match against Pham. Majauskas would be the third player for Concordia to win 6-0, 6-0 in his #5 match against Taylor while sophomore Juuso Ojanen (Varkaus, Finland) took a 6-0, 6-2 victory in his #6 singles match to give the Clippers a 7-0 overall lead.

Olfans would battle his way to a 6-4, 6-2 win over Moore in the #3 match as Tisserand's #4 match went in favor of Concordia 7-6 (7-5), 6-4 to give the Clippers a sweep of the Griffins.

Concordia (11-2, 4-0 CACC) will play in their third straight match tomorrow afternoon as the Clippers will be back in Philadelphia, Pa. to take on the University of the Sciences. The match is scheduled to begin at 3pm at the McNeil Field Courts.
