CONCORDIA SECURES TOP SEED FOR 2011 CACC MEN'S TENNIS TOURNAMENT
Concordia College has secured the top seed for the upcoming Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Men's Tennis Tournament. The Clippers will be looking for their second straight conference championship. The tournament will be played Tuesday and Thursday, April 19 and 21. Chestnut Hill College will host the championship match on Thursday at 3:00 pm.
Concordia, which is ranked No. 3 nationally and first in the East
Region, went undefeated in conference play for the second straight
season, going 6-0 and finishing with an 18-2 overall mark. The
Clippers upended numerous ranked teams throughout the season,
including then No. 1 and defending national champion Barry
University. The Clippers will host the No. 4 seed, Chestnut Hill
College, in Tuesday's opening round at 3:00 pm. Concordia defeated
Chestnut Hill, 9-0, on March 22 in the regular-season match-up.
Concordia won the 2010 CACC crown with a 5-0 win over Philadelphia
University.
