Bronxville, NY - Clippers take Fordham in 1st dual match of the season
The Clippers men's tennis team faced off against Fordham University today. The Clippers easily took the Rams of Fordham 9-0.
The doubles matches hit the courts first. With the ITA Regional doubles winners of Andrey Boldarev and Alex Grubin at #1 doubles, the team would take the win 8-3. Felix Missal and Raphael Namias were victorious at #2 doubles with an 8-2 win. Andreas Lindell and Tamas Dobrotka were dominating at #3 doubles with the 8-0 win.
The singles were just as victorious with several players only
dropping one or two games in their matches. Andrey Boldarev
won his #1 singles match 6-0; 6-2. Tamas Dobrotka followed
Boldarev at #3 singles with the same score. Raphael Namias,
at #2 singles, gave only one game and defeated his opponent 6-1;
6-0. Andreas Lindell went 6-1; 6-1 at #4 singles while Felix
Missal defeated his opponent 6-3; 6-1 at #5 singles. Dane
Ostilly struggled a little after winning his first set but pulled
it off for the win in the third set tie breaker winning 7-5; 1-6;
10-7.
The Clippers will head to the Stony Brook Invitational this weekend.
