Alex Grubin and Dan Rockhill Honored by ITA
The Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) named Alex Grubin the National Senior Player of the Year while also naming the Clippers Assistant Coach Dan Rockhill the ITA National Assistant Coach of the Year.
Alex Grubin, a senior from Belgrade Serbia, has been with the
Clippers for four years. In his freshman year Grubin was
named by the ITA as the Player to Watch. With his four years
of experience including two trips to the NCAA Division II Final
Four (2009 and 2010). The ITA named Grubin earlier this year
as the East Region Senior Player of the Year and now has added the
honor of the ITA National Senior Player of the Year.
Through Grubin's four years here as a Clippers he has a singles record of 69-5 and a doubles record of 84-10 in just dual matches. Alex has also been awards numerous player of the weeks and all-conference honors through the years.
Dan Rockhill, the assistant coach of the Clippers, was named as the
National ITA Assistant Coach of the Year. Dan
was previously named this season by the ITA as the East Region
Assistant Coach of the Year. With his eleven years
serving as the Clippers Assistant Coach, Rockhill has won the
region award several times.
