Alex Grubin and Andrey Boldarev earn ITA All-America Honors
The ITA released its 2009-2010 All-America Team along the side of the of their season ending rankings. To earn All-America honors from the ITA a player must qualify in the following criteria; Finish in the Top 20 of the final ITA Rankings in singles and/or Finish in the Top 10 of the ITA Rankings in doubles.
Alex Grubin, the ITA National Senior Player of the Year, is ranked
4th in singles and 4th in doubles at the end of the season ITA
rankings. With both of his rankings Grubin was named to the
All-America team. This marks the third year that Grubin has
been named to the ITA All-America Team. Grubin finished his
senior year with a 14-3 singles record and a 22-2 doubles record in
dual matches only.
Andrey Boldarev, a sophomore, is ranked 4th in doubles with his
court partner Alex Grubin in the end of the season ITA
rankings. With this ranking Boldarev was named to the
All-America team for the first time. Boldarev finished his
season with a 16-4 singles record and a 24-2 doubles record in dual
matches only.
