Kim Earns Rookie of the Week Honors

Central Islip, NY - Freshman Viktor Kim (Tashkent, Uzbekistan) was named East Coast Conference Men's Tennis Rookie of the Week, as announced by the conference office yesterday afternoon.

Kim won both singles and doubles matches in the Clippers only contest this past week, an 8-1 victory over the Golden Lions of Dowling College on Saturday at the Meyers Tennis Center. Kim played singles at the No. 3 position and defeated Eduardo Ribeiro 6-0, 7-6 (7-4). Earlier in the match against the Golden Lions, Kim paired with senior Vito Galatioto (Yonkers, NY) at No. 3 doubles for an 8-3 win over Mike Sinclair and Kevin Lotito.

The Clippers will return to action on Saturday, March 28th, as they travel to Teaneck, NJ to face the Division I Knights of Fairleigh Dickinson University. The match will begin at 1:00 PM.
