Clippers Dismantle Setters 9-0

Mt. Kisco, NY - Freshman Nik Boerger (Muenster, Germany) scored a decisive 6-2, 6-3 win in the #1 singles position, leading the Clippers to a 9-0 win over the Setters of Pace University last night in Mt. Kisco, NY. Boerger teamed with junior John Cassas (Bogota, Colombia) to win at #3 doubles 8-2. Freshman Henning Runz (Muelheim-Kaerlich) did not drop a game during the evening, winning 6-0, 6-0 over Jed Pines at #4 singles and 8-0 at #2 doubles with Rodrigo Teixeira (Vitoria, Brazil). Sophomore Sabyasachi Bose (Calcutta, India) also won handily, defeating Garrett Boyd 6-0, 6-0. Junior Vito Galatioto (Yonkers, NY) saw action at #6 singles, topping Andrew Hagen 6-3, 6-4.

The Clippers, who are ranked 32nd in Division II, improve to 1-1 on the season.

Concordia will travel to Queens College on Saturday and Sunday, February 24th - 25th, as they will participate in the East Coast Conference Singles & Doubles Tournament.
