New Haven, CT - Clippers fall to University New Haven in tough match-up

The Concordia College Men's Soccer team traveled to New Haven, Connecticut to face off against the University of New Haven Chargers. 

The Clippers fought hard to stay on the offensive side of the ball to start the game.  With a perfect chance at a goal Daniel Espinoza shot the ball but unfortunately it went slightly wide.  The Chargers of UNH took control of the ball and were able to score.  The Clippers continued to fight hard on the field throughout the first half to stay on the attack but were unsuccessful.  The Clippers went into halftime down 2-0.

With the second half underway the Clippers tried to find themselves on the offensive once again but were held at midfield by the Chargers.  The Chargers found their way through and scored two more times to put the Clippers down 4-0.  As the second half wore on the Clippers found the ball at their feet and had their shots at the goal but none could go through.  The Clippers fell to the University of New Haven 4-0.

Will Camerlingo held up the defense with 5 saves.  Daniel Espinoza, Sam Ortega, and Guilherme Ferreira each had their shot on goals. 

The Clippers will face off next Wednesday, September 9, 2009 at Mercy College at 4:00pm
