Clippers drop to Warriors in close game

Nyack, NY - Clippers drop to Warriors in close game.

The Clippers men's soccer team traveled to Nyack College today.  The Clippers started the game on defense.  The Warriors of Nyack saw an opening in the first few minutes of the game and scored.  From that point on the Clippers were able to contain the Warriors from scoring again.  The Clippers attempted to get on offense but were unfortunately halted as the Warriors out shot the Clippers in the first half 11 to 4.  With the Warriors stagnate on offense the Clippers were only down by one at the half. 

The second half saw the Clippers continuing to work on the defensive side of the field as they were once again denied too much access to the goal.  The Warriors found a way to score once more to give themselves the 2-0 lead.  The Clippers were able to stop the scoring from the Warriors but were unable to score as they had five shots on goal.  The Clippers dropped the game 2-0.

Giovanni Olarte led defensively with 8 saves in the game.  The Clippers will take on Philadelphia University this Saturday at 12:00pm in Philadelphia, PA.
