Orangeburg, NY - Clippers score first goal of the season but it wasn't enough to take Dominican College

The Clipper men's soccer team faced off today against their first Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference opponent, Dominican College.

The Clippers worked hard to start off the game getting on offense and making their shots.  The Chargers quickly quieted them just 12 minutes into the game with a goal.  The Clippers continued their efforts but the Chargers would once again score.  The Clippers were then able to fend off the Chargers through the rest of the half.

The second half of the game saw the Clippers return to offense.  With a ball from Sophomore Xhovano Dardha passed to Freshman Alessandro Persampieri, the Clippers saw their first ball go into the net for the season's first goal.  Unfortunately, the Chargers answered right back to make the game 3-1.  The Clippers then continued to work on the offensive side out shooting the Chargers 13-10 for the game but were unable to score and the Clippers dropped their first CACC game 3-1.

The Clippers will open up their home stand this Saturday, September 19th at 1:00pm against another CACC opponent Bloomfield College.
