Espinoza scores lone goal as Clippers drop to C.W. Post
Brookville, NY - Espinoza scores lone goal as Clippers drop to C.W. Post
The Clippers traveled to Long Island today to play C.W. Post in a non-conference match-up. As the rains continued the Clippers and the Pioneers battled it out on the soccer field. The Pioneers scored three quick goals to start the first half off. The Clippers tried to get onto the offensive side but were unable to as the Pioneers sut them down. The Clippers were out shot in the first half 19-4.
The second half started and saw the Clippers down 5-0. That
did not discourage the Clippers from working hard and attempting to
get back into the game. The Clippers found a way to get onto
offense and get some shots off on goal. With a free kick
taken by Clippers Senior Rafael Espinoza the ball curved into the
top of the net for the Clippers first goal of the game. Right
after the seventieth minute was played the game was called due to
the weather and field conditions making the game a countable
game. The Clippers dropped to C.W. Post 8-1.
The Clippers will host Goldey-Beacom College this Friday, October 30th at 3:00pm where they will honor the six seniors in the last game of the season.
