Clippers finish out season with a win over Goldey-Beacom

Bronxville, NY - Clippers finish out season with a win over Goldey-Beacom
The Concordia College Men's Soccer team finished out their season by hosting Goldey-Beacom College. The Clippers dominated the game from the beginning as they got their shots on goal off early. As the Clippers stayed well on the offensive, the Clippers defense pushed up to give support for the attack and it paid off for them. With a free kick Rafael Espinoza passed the ball to Ulyses Salceda who shot it in the goal to give the Clippers the 1-0 lead. The Clippers continued to play well on the offensive to finish out the first half as they out shot the Goldey-Beacom College Lightning 12-2.
The second half of the game saw more offensive action from the
Clippers as they were able to continue to out shoot the
Lightning. Twenty-one minutes into the second half Rich
Heredia took the ball from a Lightning defender and dribbled around
and put the ball in the bottom left corner to put the Clippers up
2-0. The Lightning came back strong attempting to get on the
offensive and get their shots and with less than 12 minutes put a
ball into the net to cut the Clippers lead in half. As the
clock ticked down the Clippers worked hard together to make sure
that the Lightning wouldn't strike again. The Clippers held
on and defeated the Lightning 2-1 to finish their season.
The Clippers finish out their season with an overall record of 3-15 and a CACC record of 3-8. The Clippers say goodbye to four seniors Marcin Jaworek, Ulyses Salceda, Rafael Espinoza, and Fabian Contreras.
