Bronxville, NY - Persampieri scores again but Clippers can't hold on with Bloomfield

The Clippers men's soccer team opened up their home stand with Bloomfield College.  The Clippers worked hard and passed the ball around throughout the first half.  It was a battle for the beginning half to see who if anyone would score first.  Freshman Alessandro Persampieri was that player.  A chip shot from Jorge Bronoquis to Persampieri gave the Clippers their first lead of the season.  Unfortunately the Clippers couldn't hold on to the lead and Bloomfield tied the game up just minutes later.  With the first half at a close the game was tied at one.

The second half was a different story for both teams.  The Clippers were struggled to score again and Bloomfield found a way to score and take the game. 

Alessandro Persampieri scored his second goal of the season as Jorge Bronoquis earned his second assist of the season.  Guilherme Ferreira stayed strong in goal with 4 saves on the day. 

The Clippers will next host Caldwell College on Tuesday, September 22, 2009 at 3:00pm.
