Bear, DE - Clippers fall hard under Wildcats attack
The Clippers men's soccer team faced off in another night time match up this weekend, this time against Wilmington University Wildcats.
The Clippers started the game on the defensive as the Wildcats of Wilmington University came on the attack. The Wildcats scored two goals quickly in the first ten minutes of play. The Clippers were able to keep the Wildcats from scoring quickly for the rest of the first half. With halftime approaching the Wildcats took a 3-0 lead over the Clippers.
The second half saw the Clippers struggles as the Wildcats
continued to pounce. The Clippers unfortunately could not get
on an offensive strike for too long as they were out shot in the
game 24-6. The Wildcats would score six more times before the
end of the game.
Despite the loss the Clippers goalkeeper for the game, Giovanni
Olarte was able to nab four saves.
The Clippers will travel across the river to play Nyack College on
Tuesday, October 13th at 3:30pm.
