Easton, MA - Clippers just miss in overtime match with Stonehill
The Clippers Men's Soccer team played host Stonehill College in the Stonehill Kick-off Tournament.
With just eleven players for today's game the Clippers faced a tough challenge. The Clippers faced off with the Skyhawks of Stonehill. With no score at the end of the first half the Clippers survived with their eleven players.
The second half went on with the Clippers being out shot eight to one. Clipper goal keeper Will Camerlingo was able to hold the Skyhawks off saving five goals in the half. The Clippers pushed the Skyhawks to overtime with still no score on the board.
Overtime got under way with the Clippers and the Skyhawks unable to get a shot off for the first several minutes. The Skyhawks got lucky first and were able to get a shot off and score to end the game.
Will Camerlingo led defensively for the Clippers with six
saves bringing his weekend total to thirteen. Daniel Espinoza
and Guilherme Ferreira both were able to get shots off for the
Clippers.
The Clippers will next face off at the University of New Haven on Wednesday, September 2 at 4:00pm.
