Clippers play well but Rams out score
Nyack, NY - Clippers play well but Rams out score
The Clippers men's soccer team traveled to Philadelphia University
for a CACC face off with the Rams. The Clippers coming off a
rest period headed out on the field with a new attitude. The
Rams though scored first off of rebounded ball from the post.
The Clippers then worked together as they were able to hold off the
Rams through the next half hour of play. With the Clippers
working to get the ball up the field for shots their chances in the
first half were few. The Rams out shot them in the first half
7-2. At the end of the half the Clippers were down 2-0.
The Rams caught the Clippers off guard as they scored quickly to open up the second half. The Clippers continuing to work together were able to push the ball up on the offensive and get some shots on goal. Unfortunately the Rams goalie was able to stop the ball from going in. The Clippers fell to the Rams 6-0.
Giovanni Olarte, in goal for the Clippers, was able to make 7 saves in the game. Fabian Contreras and Ulyses Salceda led the Clippers shots with 3 and 2 shots on goal respectively.
The Clippers will host Felician College this Wednesday, October 21, 2009 at 3:00pm.
