Old Westbury, NY - Davis gets his first goal of the season but Clippers drop to NYIT

The Clippers traveled to Old Westbury, NY today for a non-conference match-up with New York Institute of Technology. The Clippers fell quickly back onto defense as NYIT scored twice in less than ten minutes.  The Clippers attempted to get on the offensive side of the ball but were out shot but NYIT in the first half 10-2.  NYIT held their lead as they were up 5-0 at the half. 

The second half of the game, shots for both teams were hard to come by.  The Clippers were able to get off two more shots including on from 25 yards out of the goal.  Chevaughn Davis knocked one into the upper right corner of the goal for the Clippers.  The Clippers however were unable to score again and dropped to NYIT 7-1.

Giovanni Olarte nabbed four saves in the first half while Rafael Espinoza was able to get a save on his first goalie experience in the second half. 

The Clippers will back down to Philadelphia this Saturday to face off against Holy Family University.
