Clippers Shut Out Griffins 5-0
Bronxville, NY - Senior forward Stefan Dimitrov (Bulgaria) scored his conference leading 10th goal of the season in a 5-0 rout of Chestnut Hill College at Holtdorf Soccer Field this past Monday. Dimitrov also added an assist on the first goal of the game by freshman Richard Heredia (Patchogue, NY) in the 38th minute. Heredia would add a second goal early in the second half to put the Clippers ahead 2-0.
Dimitrov scored his first goal of the game in the 74th minute and his second goal in the 87th minute. Junior Fabian Contreras (New Rochelle, NY) notched his first goal of the year for Concordia in the 82nd minute.
The Clippers improve to 4-3 on the season. Chestnut Hill falls to 0-6-1 overall.
The Clippers will travel to Worcester, MA on Friday, September 9th to face the Greyhounds of Assumption College. The game will begin at 7:00 PM.
