Clippers and Lions Finish in a Scoreless Tie
Bronxville, NY - The Concordia College men's soccer team recorded a 0-0 tie with the Lions of Molloy College today at Holtdorf Soccer Field in Bronxville, NY. Junior Stefan Dimitrov (Bulgaria), who leads Concordia with 6 goals this season, managed to fire off 4 shots in the game. Freshmen Bujar Lajqi (Rugova, Kosova) and Guilherme Ferreira (Sinop, Brazil) each finished with 2 shots.
Molloy out shot the Clippers 14-13 for the game. There was a total of 31 fouls in the game, with the Clippers committing 16 of them.
Senior Clint Providence (Kingstown, St. Vincent) roamed the goal for the entire 110:00 minutes for Concordia, finishing with 4 saves. For Molloy, Russ Francome finished with 6 saves.
The Clippers record stands at 4-11-1 overall and 1-5-1 in the East Coast Conference. The Lions record now stands at 9-2-3 overall and 3-1-2 in the East Coast Conference.
The Clippers will next host the Golden Lions of Dowling College on Saturday, October 20th at Holtdorf Soccer Field. The game will begin at 2:30 PM.
