Tirri Scores Twice as Clippers Fall 4-2

 

                                                      

Senior Kris Tirri (Yonkers, NY) scored two goals for the Clippers in a 4-2 non-confernce loss to the Tigers of Holy Family University yesterday in Philadelphia, PA. Tirri opened up the scoring in the game in the 19th minute on an unassisted goal from about 20 yards out. Holy Family would respond with two goals, one in the 29th minute and one in the 34th minute, to take a 2-1 lead into the locker room at halftime. Tirri would add his second goal of the game in the 56th minute on a penalty kick. That would be all the scoring for Concordia on the afternoon, as the Tigers would add two more goals. Sean Hordijenko scored two goals for the Tigers and Ed Szambelak scored a goal and added an assist. Goalkeeper Ivan Rodriguez (White Plains, NY) stopped 4 shots for the Clippers.

Concordia falls to 2-13 on the season. Holy Family University improves to 11-6-1 on the season.

The Clippers will wrap up the 2006 season on Monday, October 23rd, as they host the Purple Knights of the University of Bridgeport in East Coast Conference action. The game will begin at 3:00 PM.
