Clippers End Season With 2-1 Loss to Bridgeport
Senior Kris Tirri (Yonkers, NY) concluded his career at Concordia with the Clippers only goal in a 2-1 loss to the Purple Knights of the University of Bridgeport today in Bridgeport, CT. Tirri, who did not score a goal in the Clipper's first 13 games, ended the season with 4 goals and an assist in the team's final 3 games. Midfielder Daniel Olarte (Columbia) assisted on Tirri's goal and fired off 4 shots for the Clippers. Ivan Rodriguez (White Plains, NY) registered 14 saves in goal for Concordia.
For the Purple Knights, Blaise Njie scored a goal and assisted on the other goal. LeRoun Lothain scored the winning goal in the 71st minute for Bridgeport.
With the loss, the Clippers conclude the 2006 season with a record of 2-14 overall and 1-7 in the East Coast Conference. Bridgeport improves to 6-7-2 overall and 4-3-1 in the East Coast Conference.
