Head Golf Coach Scott W. Allen is very excited about the second year of the golf program at Concordia College (N.Y.). Coach Allen has a successful collegiate record, with accomplishments at Manhattanville College, Seton Hall University, Adelphi University and now Concordia College. In 2010-11, Allen led the Clippers to the NCAA Northeast Regional in the school's first season as a varsity sport. For Allen, it was his third consecutive NCAA appearance. The coach led Adelphi to the NCAAs in his two seasons there and Concordia to the NCAAs this past year.

In ten seasons as an NCAA Head Golf Coach, Allen has now led three different schools to a combined four NCAA Regional appearances. His teams have won three conference championships, nine tournament titles, and qualified for four ECAC Championships. His players have won nine individual titles, been named as Conference Player of the Year four times, and as All NCAA Region once.

Building the golf program at Concordia College during the past two years was something Coach Allen was very familiar with. In 1999, Allen started the golf team at Manhattanville College, where he led the Valiants to three Skyline Conference Championships (2001, 2002 & 2004) and five tournament titles. Under his leadership, Manhattanville also qualified for four ECAC Championships (1999, 2001, 2002 & 2004) and one NCAA Northeast Regional (2003).

At Adelphi, Coach Allen revived the golf program, which was ranked 27th among the 28 schools in Golfstat's Northeast Region Head-to-Head rankings at the time of his hire. Adelphi was ranked second in the region and in the top 100 nationally by April, 2008. The Panthers competed in the NCAA Northeast Regional in consecutive years: with an individual in 2007 — the university's first NCAA appearance in golf since 2003 — and as a team in 2008. In ten tournaments during the 2007-08 season, Allen led the Panthers to the Division I Army Mulekicker Classic title (October, 2007), six Top Three finishes, and eight Top Five finishes.

At Seton Hall University, Allen served as Head Golf Coach for the 2003-04 season and taught Freshman English. He led the Pirates to the Mount St. Mary's (Md.) Invitational title (April, 2004) and four top ten finishes.

Allen began his coaching career at James Monroe High School in the Bronx. He coached the Eagles to PSAL playoff appearances in 1989 and 1990 and to the Bronx golf championship in 1990 — the only golf title won in the school's 80-year history. Coach Allen also served as a voting member on the PSAL Rules and Eligibility Committee and wrote and proposed legislation that was drafted by the PSAL to broaden participation eligibility standards for special education students.

In nine seasons as a high school golf coach, Allen compiled a 71-33-1 (.768) record and coached The Hackley School to the New York State Association of Private and Independent Schools state title in 1999. During this time, Coach Allen taught English, Special Education, and English-as-a-Second Language in New York City and Westchester county.

Scott W. Allen is an alumnus of both the University of Oregon (BS, '84) and Manhattanville College (MAT, '94). He currently resides in White Plains, N.Y. with his fiance Tania Saiz and their eleven-year old daughter, Maya.
