Sophomore Kyle Grandilli (Port Colborne, Ontario, Canada) enters his second season after a splendid freshman campaign. Grandilli had six Top Ten finishes in twelve tournaments, highlighted by a win at the Purchase Invitational, where he shot a two-over par round of 73. Kyle came out on fire as a frosh, landing in a tie for third place in his first two collegiate events. A key Top Ten finish at the Nyack Fall Classic (78-75 -- 148) ensured a Top Five slot for the Clippers in the Nyack tourney. Grandilli finished second (76) at the Concordia Fall Faceoff and tied for seventh at the Concordia Spring. He played exceptionally well when the stakes were high, as attested by his tie for 16th at the CACC championships, a valuable contribution to Concordia's fourth place conference finish. The native of Ontario set the school scoring record with a one-under par round of 70 in the Wilmington Spring Classic. Grandilli provided both leadership and punch at the top of the lineup, averaging 77.95 for twenty rounds and twelve tournaments. His scoring average versus par (6.40) ranked him 28th among the approximate 150 players in the NCAA's Northeast region.
