The NCAA and Golfstat released their latest college golf poll on March 16 and the news continues to be good for fans of Concordia College. The Clippers maintained their #10 ranking in the East and continue to feature two students ranked in the Top 40 in the region.

In the individual head-to-head rankings, three Clippers moved up as a result of their stellar play in the St. John's (NY) Treasure Coast Classic. With three players ranked among the Top 50 in the East region, Concordia is led by sophomore Jeff Schaller (Kingston, NY), who's averaging 76.42 through twelve rounds. Schaller saw his ranking improve from 31st to 29th in the East among the approximate 175 players in the region.

Freshman Kyle Grandilli (Ontario, CAN), who lowered his scoring average to 77.08 for twelve rounds, jumped from 42nd to 38th in the district. Freshman Sam Deitte (St. Charles, MO), who's averaging 78.91 for eleven rounds, is ranked 50th.

St. Thomas Aquinas College is the top-ranked school in the NCAA's East region poll, followed by Wilmington University, American International College, Post University and LeMoyne College. Rounding out the region's Top Ten are Adelphi University, Dowling College, Bentley University, UMass- Lowell and the Clippers.

In the CACC, the top-ranked schools are Post, Wilmington, Concordia, Goldey-Beacom and Nyack College. Rounding out the Top Ten are Felician College, Holy Family University, Dominican College, Philadelphia University and the University of the Sciences.

The Clippers enter the Spring season with a 22-15 mark in the East region head-to-head standings and a 12-2 record in the CACC head-to-head standings. The Clippers are 1-2 against Division I competition this year and are only one of four schools in the East to have won multiple tournaments so far in 2010-11.

"Steady as we go," commented coach Scott Allen. "We're in the hunt and that's all you can ask for in March. I'm happy for Jeff, Kyle and Will and their jump in the individual rankings. We've been working extremely hard since we came back from Florida and the kids are playing really well. We're both excited and hopeful about the remainder of the Spring season."

Concordia College will return to action on April 1 in the Wilmington University Spring Classic at the Frog Hollow Golf Course in Middletown, Delaware.
