Clippers place 6th in first collegiate golf tournament
The Clippers Men's Golf premiered yesterday at the The College of St. Rose Fall Shootout. Overall the team in it first NCAA competition placed sixth in the field.
The Clippers were led on the course by freshman Kyle Grandilli who placed in a tie for third overall as he shot a 73, just two over par. During Grandilli's round he knocked down three birdies which gave him the edge fro the Clippers.
Sophomore Jeffrey Schaller notched a top ten place for himself as he placed in a tie for eighth with a 75. Schaller turned his game around after makey a bogey and turned it around with a birdie right after.
Freshman Lorenz Kolmeder started his first round off slow start but finished on the back nine with a 39 to bring his total to an 85. Junior Will Deitte finished out the Clippers line-up with a 92 shot round.
The Clippers will return to action on Tuesday, September 21st in the Purchase College Golf Invitational.
