Grandilli leads Clippers to tournament win
The Clippers Golf team competed at the one day Purchase College Men's Golf Invitational. First out on the course for the Clippers was Kyle Grandilli. When Grandilli returned from the eighteen he posted a one over par 73 for the day. With the 73 Grandilli captured the individual title defated the other 29 contenders by three shots.
Lorenz Kolmeder stepped up and captured a season high 78 for
himself. The 78 placed Kolmeder in 4th overall.
Jeffrey Schaller who started off his front nine with a couple of bogeys picked up his game on the back nine to finish one stroke and place behind Kolmeder.
Sam Deitte was right behind Schaller with an 80 for the round. Deitte's 80 placed him in a ite for 7th place overall.
Finishing out the Clipper five was Will Deitte who finished out in 14th overall.
With the scores in the Clippers totaled up 310 points as a team and won the tournament by 14 shots.
The Clippers will next face off at the Dominican College Charger Challenge this coming weekend October 10th and 11th.
