Clippers place 6th at Dowling College September Shootout
The Clippers headed out to Long Island for the Dowling College September Shootout this past Friday and Saturday. After the first round of competition the Clippers landed in 5th place. Leading for the Clippers on day on was freshman Sam Deitte with his one over par 72.
Freshman Lorenz Kolmeder and sophomore Jeffrey Schaller posted rounds of 76 for the first day to put the Clippers up at the top. Kyle Grandilli shot a round one score of 83 while Will Deitte shot a 95.
Day two for the Clippers saw improvement on the course for the
five. Sam Deitte finished on top after round two with a two
day total of 151 placing him in a tie for 17th overall.
Jeffrey Schaller pulled another 76 for round two giving him a two
day total of 152. Schaller's 152 notched him in a tie for
20th.
Lorenz Kolmeder placed in a tie for 26th after he completed his second round with a 78 for a tournament total of 154.
Kyle Grandilli improved his second round by six shots boosting his placement up to a tie for 50th overall with a total of 160. Will Deitte finished out the Clipper five with a 92 on his second round placing him in 84th.
During the two days of competition the Clippers were able to see six CACC foes. After the second round the Clippers placed 6th place which put them above five of their conference competitors.
The Clippers will next be on their home links of Century Country Club on Monday, September 27th at 3:30pm.
