Clippers maintain #10 in East in NCAA regional rankings

The NCAA released their second regional rankings on April 15 and the Concordia College golf team has maintained their #10 ranking in the East.

The rankings, determined by the East regional advisory committee, are used to determine the post-season field for each of the NCAA's six Division II regions.

According to the Golfstat rankings released on April 13, Concordia is now #5 in the East in scoring average versus par with an average of score of 310.50 per round for sixteen rounds.

The Clippers currently have a 21-6 record in the CACC head-to-head standings, a 32-21 record in the East region head-to-head standings, and a 34-21 record against all Division II schools.

In the NCAA rankings, St. Thomas Aquinas College is the top-ranked school in the East, followed by Wilmington University, Post University American International College and Adelphi University. Dowling College, LeMoyne College, Bentley University, Goldey-Beacom College and Concordia College round out the region's Top Ten.

"We defended our position well at the CACCs," commented coach Scott Allen. "Although we didn't meet our ultimate goal there, we took care of business for the most part. We'll know more by the end of the week. I'm happy for the team and college just for being a part of the discussion. We've been working extremely hard and the kids continue to play really well. We're both excited and hopeful about this week."

Concordia College will return to action on April 19 in the Philadelphia University Invitational at the Ace Club in Lafayette Hill, PA.
